About the role
From student auditions to expert responses to in-person activation events, content is core to Protege’s business. In this role, you will be a video storyteller, transforming raw content into polished videos that tell the stories of undiscovered musicians or of celebrity artists selecting protégés. This role requires an independent thinker, who thrives when presented with broad objectives and can own a project from inception to completion. You will help craft Protege’s content and video strategy from the ground up.
Responsibilities
- Create detailed video storyboards from UCG or captured content. Discuss content ideas and storyboards with the broader Protégé team.
- Design, edit, and produce shorter-form videos (~30 seconds) for use on Protege’s social media or as advertising creative
- Design, edit, and produce longer-form videos (2-5 minutes). These videos will focus on specific events or stories, such as: (a) the spotlight of a student on the platform (b) an interview with an expert or a student (c) in-person events like experts hosting proteges for studio sessions
- Protege’s videographers will capture raw footage for each in-person event
- Work cross-functionally with both student and expert pods to understand content needs
- Handle and clearly communicate overall project timelines and deliverables
What we’re seeking
- Track record of building a TikTok audience with a following of at least 25,000; this could be your own audience or for a company
- Have a minimum of 1 years of experience in video editing, content creation, production, or relevant industry
- Previous experience creating content related eCommerce or tech marketplaces preferred, but not required
- This position can be done remotely from the US
